The Clark County Democrats believe our county is more than just voters and politics. Clark County is a diverse community of people who believe in supporting our schools, growing our small businesses, and working together to create opportunities for all of our citizens. Whether you're from Camas, Washougal, Vancouver, Battle Ground, Ridgefield, La Center, Yacolt, Amboy or beyond we invite you to see why we believe in you.

About CCDCC

Clark County Democrats Welcome You

Since ancient times the mighty Columbia River has anchored what’s become Southwest Washington as a center of economic development and trade. Clark County, once an outpost of the Hudson's Bay Company and a passage route for the Lewis and Clark Expedition, is today the fifth most populous county in Washington State. Vancouver; the state’s fourth-largest city, Battle Ground, Camas, La Center, Ridgefield, Washougal, and Yacolt encompass a modern economic mix that includes agriculture, construction, education, manufacturing, retail, hospitality, commercial and a creative vibe that stretches from fashion and entertainment design to high tech research and development and winemaking. Port districts in Camas-Washougal, Ridgefield and Vancouver, and Interstate 5 and Interstate 205 secure Clark County’s role in Pacific Rim commerce.

Balancing business with quality of life means Democrats in Clark County are focused not only on good, living wage jobs, but clean air and water, affordable health care, solid public education, livable communities and a respect for individual rights that we cherish as our birthright as Americans. Although the party has made progress in the last century to expand rights from the few to the many, we continue to stand together to increase equality in the workplace and in our personal lives. Whether your family is new to America or has deep roots, whether or not your family looks like the one next door, we invite you to help weave a stronger county, state and nation where respect rather than fear is the fiber that holds us together.

Our aspirations to make Clark County a place where values mean valuing people rather than dogma, we will need your help in the elections of 2014 and the future. In addition to our seven cities, Clark County has four county council districts and county chair. Three legislative districts – the 17th, the 18th and the 49th  – cover most of Clark County.  The 14th and 20th legislative districts include small areas of Clark County.  Each legislative district has one senator and two representatives. Our congressional delegation includes our two U.S. senators and the Third District representative. An array of candidates for several of these positions will be on the ballot in November. With your help, we can make Clark County a better place to live. Please join us to ensure a great future for our families and community.
