Last Minute "Contributions" Raise Eyebrows Across Clark County
According to a recent story published in "The Columbian" and PDC records, commissioner candidate Jeanne Stewart has received $89,000 from the Washington state Republican party, more than ANY OTHER Republican candidate (State or local) in the state this election cycle. By an amazing coincidence, County Commissioner David Madore and a Clark County developer made extremely large donations directly to the State GOP party only weeks before.
The Stewart Campaign has no comment on accepting this money nor how it might impact her impartiality if elected.
A formal complaint has been filed with the PDC by former Sen Al Bauer condemning the issue of earmarking money to be passed through the Republican Party to the local candidate by County Commissioner David Madore and Developer Clyde Holland.
