Democrats of every stripe, independents and Republicans looking for better answers are invited to an open house for the new offices of the Clark County Democrats on Sunday, May 4, from 2 to 5 p.m.
The county party made a commitment to build a stronger presence in the county this year by signing a five-year lease for office space at 10621 Coxley Drive, Suites 101 and 102, Vancouver. The location near the intersection of the Interstate 205 and State Route 500 provides easy access for Democrats from throughout the county.
Enjoy refreshments while gathering information about the candidates, party values and structure, how to get involved, the election cycle and party activities such as the annual dinner and auction in June will all be available.
Candidates for 2014 races and elected officials will be on hand to answer your questions and ask for your support – time, money and energy. This is a great time to find out how to help keep Democrats in the winning column in the important August primary and the general election in November.
If you are interested in running as a precinct committee officer in the August primary, you will also find all the information you need. The filing period all races is May 12-16. Voter registration forms will also be available.
The hunt for new office space began with the sale of the building containing the former office on McLoughlin Boulevard in Vancouver. A decision was made to consolidate the party’s three spaces – office, storage and biennial campaign offices – into a single facility that could serve the needs of the party year round.
