Join the Clark County Democrats to Learn About Important Gun Safety Programs for Clark County Children and Schools
The gun issue can be very complicated, with many different opinions, viewpoints and political agendas. But regardless of how one may feel on the political or moral questions of firearm ownership in the United States, most of us can agree when it comes to the safety of our children at home and in school, we’re of one mind.
Come join the Clark County Democrats as we explore this aspect more deeply on March 21, 2014 when we host author Heidi Yewman and listen to her speak about some very important initiatives and programs for preventing gun violence. Ms. Yewman works with many organizations including the “ASKing Saves Kids” Campaign and “SPEAK-UP” program designed to prevent potential school violence.
Come meet, chat and enjoy desert and learning about this important issue with others of similar mind and spirit. This is NOT a public debate on the second amendment but instead the first step towards enacting and implementing ideas on how to increase gun violence awareness and protection for the children and students of Clark County.
This important meeting will be on Monday April 21st at 6:30pm in the Clark County Democrats office at 10621 NE Coxley Drive in Vancouver.
