The Clark County Democrats believe our county is more than just voters and politics. Clark County is a diverse community of people who believe in supporting our schools, growing our small businesses, and working together to create opportunities for all of our citizens. Whether you're from Camas, Washougal, Vancouver, Battle Ground, Ridgefield, La Center, Yacolt, Amboy or beyond we invite you to see why we believe in you.

PLEASE JOIN US AT ONE OF THESE LOCAL COMMUNITY EVENTS THIS SPRING TO LEARN ABOUT AND CELEBRATE OUR DIVERSITY

Clark County Democrats Outreach Committee Chair and local activist Hanna Perez has announced four great events for our community to participate in and support this Spring. Come on out and greet old friends, make new friends and show your support. The more we celebrate and learn from each other, the more positive changes we can make in our community for our families and the future of Clark County. Click on any of the events below for more details or check out our calendar of events to the right of this story.

  • VIGILS FOR MARRIAGE  ... Washington's historic vote by the citizens to bring marriage equality to our state (R-74) was only possible with help from our neighbors to the south. Oregon United for Marriage is hosting a vigil on the eve of oral arguments in the Oregon Supreme Court in downtown Portland.
  • CANNABIS EARTH DAY CELEBRATION ... An evening at Downtown Vancouver's Mint Tea to chat with Washington 49th Rep Sharon Wylie (D-Vancouver) on the status of Cannabis legalization. Other events including seed sharing and learn how to make medicated edibles and more.
  • REMEMBERING CESAR CHAVEZ ... Hosted by LULAC, this event at Vancouver's Kiggins Theater will feature one of the original grape strikers of the historic 400 mile march in 1966, Roberto Bustos.
  • LULAC REGIONAL SUMMIT ... The League of United Latin American Citizens is hosting their 2014 Northwest Summit in Vancouver. LULAC has tremendous outreach and empowerment programs for women and young adults across the Pacific Northwest.

We hope to see you at some of these events. For more information about the Clark County Democrats outreach and diversity programs, submit your name and contact information to our contact page and we'll get in touch with you!
