World renowned photojournalist Bob Fitch will share his personal stories and some of his iconic images at a special community event presented by the Clark County Democrats on Monday, March 23. 2015.

Fitch spent two years as Martin Luther King Jr’s photographer documenting civil rights organizing activities of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC).  A Fitch image is the basis for the Martin Luther King Monument recently unveiled in Washington, DC.

Known for his unusually candid and intimate images, Bob’s continuing documentation included major peace and social justice campaign leaders and workers --  Cesar Chavez, Dorothy Day, Pete Seeger, Coretta Scott King, Dan and Phil Berrigan, Joan Baez and David Harris.  Another of his numerous iconic images is the basis for the 2002 United States postage stamp honoring farm labor organizer Chavez.  Many Fitch images have been displayed globally in exhibits, print and film.
