17th Legislative District Democrats
The 17th LD Democrats’ goal is to work with local Democrats and the other parts of the Democratic party to represent the core values we all share. We work to promote local candidates into every position we can to aid in representing the voters of Salmon Creek, Vancouver, Orchards, and Brush Prairie.
Politically speaking the 17th Legislative District is a truly a purple district in which elected officials swings back and forth between Democrats and Republican. When it comes to our Presidents however, we choose Blue!
Here in the 17th LD are the proud home of the 5th largest school district in the state- Evergreen Public Schools and home to Washington State University Vancouver. Our neighbors are actively engaged in their neighborhood associations and love their walking trails and parks. The 17th encompasses Cascade Park, Mill Plain, Fisher’s Landing, Brush Prairie and Mt. Vista. Like our district neighbors to the west and east, we are a diverse community of small businesses, technology firms, family farms, manufacturers and places of worship. 18th Legislative District Democrats
The 18th Legislative District (LD) is the largest legislative district wholly in Clark County. It includes 6 out of the 7 cities in the county and portions of Vancouver and includes all or part of nearly every school and port district in the county. The 18th LD has a rich diversity of small and family owned businesses, farms, wineries, manufacturers, and retailers. When it comes to outdoor recreation, you name it and we probably have it here in the 18th, from the shores of the Columbia River to the highest mountains in Clark County.
Although the 18th LD’s three state legislative positions are currently held by Republicans, the 18th LD Democrats will be working diligently to give the residents of the district a choice for fair representation. We invite you to join us online, Volunteer, and come to one of our events or meetings or consider a donation. For additional information, Contact 18th LD Chair at chair@18thdems.org.
